  • Jianguang Wang | Chairman

    Mr Jianguang Wang is the founder, Chairman and Managing Director of the Longton group. Mr Wang actively oversees the entire group’s operations including overseeing the group’s property developments. He brings extensive senior management experience in the property development, mining and iron-making industries from China to the Australian market. Benefiting from his rich involvement of working and studying both in China and abroad, Mr Wang has gained a unique perspective of the economics and politics of both Australia and China. This expertise has become increasingly critical for advising and facilitating business negotiations with international counterparties and for the direction of the Longton group.

    Mr Wang is also the Deputy General Manager of a large overseas multinational mining, resources and property conglomerate with total assets and turnover both in excess of $1 billion and employing over 5,000 staff.

    Since March 2008 Mr Wang has held the position of Non-Executive Director of Apollo Minerals Ltd and since 2011 he has served as the Non-Executive Chairman of Anchor Resources Ltd. Both of these companies are listed on the ASX.

    Bachelor Degree in Media Advertising and a Masters Degree in Accounting

    Winnie Pi has played a significant role in the growth of the Longton group since its establishment. She previously assisted in overseeing the financial reporting for the group and has contributed to all projects that Longton has been involved in since its inception. Winnie was actively involved in developing the innovative concept and vision for Longton’s first project, Futra iApartments, which is the first larger scale high density apartment project in Australia to integrate home automation features and new technology. As a director of Longton, Winnie works closely with Mr Wang and assists in the overall day to day management of the group and building the corporate brand. Winnie also participates in Project Meetings in assisting to oversee the group’s property development activities. Prior to joining Longton, Winnie worked as a Financial Controller for an investment holding company where she was involved in its day to day operations including working on an acquisition of an ASX listed company.

    B.Com (Sydney), M.AppFin (Macquarie) near completion, Qualified Chartered Accountant

    Andrew Lam is the Chief Financial Officer for Longton. He is responsible for overseeing the full financial function for Longton. He also participates at Project Meetings and assists to oversee the group’s property development activities. Andrew has broad and significant experience in Financial Management, Funds Management and Property Development having worked with institutions including Westpac, Macquarie Bank and Valad Property Group.

    Andrew was previously the Head of Finance and a Fund Manager at an Australian Property Funds Management group with funds under management in excess of $1 billion. He was also on the Board of Directors and Investment Committee for a top performing Singapore listed Real Estate Investment Trust. At Westpac he worked in the bank’s Property Originations and Funds Management areas. At Valad, he worked on Property Funds with development projects worth in total over $1 billion on completion. Andrew also worked at Macquarie Bank in its Property Financial Operations Division.

    With a property development career spanning over 25 years, John has earned the confidence, respect and trust of some of Australia’s most successful property developers. John maintains an extensive professional network and offers an unequalled skill set and the kind of insight that can only be acquired through vast experience. With a professional background as a Quantity Surveyor, John leads each project to its successful and timely completion with rigorous commitment and extraordinary dedication.

    John’s background as a quantity surveyor includes over 10 years as a Senior Director at one of Australia’s largest Quantity Surveying practices, where he both established and directed the Project Management Division. Later, John held roles as General Development Manager with two leading Sydney companies. Currently the Non-Executive Chairman of the ASX-listed Trafalgar Corporate Group Limited, John has a proven track record in all aspects of property development and project management including sourcing projects, project delivery, leading successful sales and leasing campaigns.

    John's keen understanding of the development process ensures that risk management strategies are in place, the planning approval strategy and process are tailored to suit the project objectives, and that all contract documentation from Development Agreements and Finance Agreements to Consultant and Building Contracts and Contracts for Sale and Leasing are carefully briefed, coordinated and supervised. His capacity to integrate the various aspects of the project ensures timely completion and delivery of a product of a superior standard.
